Are the therapists Russian-speaking?

Yes. Our therapists are Russian-speaking and can conduct the consultation, intake, and any communication during the session in Russian. Reservations and reception staff also work in Russian. This matters because the consultation is where you describe pressure preference, problem areas, recent injuries, and any medical considerations, and the comfort of using your first language for that conversation tends to produce a more accurate brief — which means a better session. English is, of course, equally fluent across the team, so a mixed-language couple where one partner speaks Russian and the other English presents no problem. If you have a specific therapist preference, mention it when booking and we will pair you accordingly. Russian-speaking therapists are available across all shifts including late evenings and weekends, so there is never a window where Russian-language service is only partly available.

What is the difference between Russian and Thai or Asian-style massage?

Russian and European massage tradition emphasises firm sustained pressure, structural protocol from warm-up to deep work, and clear communication during the session. Asian-tradition styles — Thai, Balinese, and similar — often use compression, stretching, and rhythmic technique with lighter pressure. Neither tradition is better in absolute terms, but they answer different needs. Most men carrying chronic upper-back, shoulder, or lower-back tension respond better to the European approach because the depth of pressure reaches the layers where the tension actually sits. Elysium delivers the European tradition exclusively — we do not mix in Thai or Balinese technique, and the menu reflects that focus: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Aroma, Lomi-Lomi, Lava Shell, Bamboo, Signature Ritual. Do you cater specifically to the Russian community in Dubai?

Yes, the Russian-speaking community is one of our core audiences. Dubai has a large Russian and CIS-resident population, particularly across Tecom, Media City, JLT, and the Marina, and many of these residents and visitors prefer a spa where they can communicate freely in Russian and receive the massage tradition they know from home. Our therapists, reservations team, and on-site reception all work in Russian. How much does a Russian spa session cost in Dubai?

At Elysium Spa, prices begin at 525 AED for a 60-minute Aroma session. Most popular treatments — Deep Tissue, Swedish, Hot Stone — sit in the 580 to 630 AED range for 60 minutes and 870 to 950 AED for 90 minutes. The Signature Ritual is 840 AED for 60 minutes and 1,260 AED for 90 minutes. Couple Massage is 1,050 AED for 60 minutes total for both guests. Four Hands starts at 1,050 AED, Six Hands at 1,800 AED. All prices include VAT and there are no service charges added at checkout. This is approximately 30 to 40 percent below the pricing of equivalent five-star resort spas in Dubai, while maintaining the same standard of therapist training and session length. For Russian-speaking guests visiting Dubai for the first time, the pricing structure here will feel comparable to a quality Moscow or St Petersburg salon rather than the inflated rates typical of Dubai hotel spas.

Can I pay in Rubles or with a Russian card?

We accept payment in AED — cash, local cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and international Visa and Mastercard issued outside Russia. Due to current banking restrictions, Russian-issued Visa and Mastercard cards do not work in the UAE, but Russian-issued UnionPay and Mir cards are not accepted in our terminal either. Most Russian residents in Dubai pay either in cash, with a UAE bank card, or via a US/EU card. International transfer ahead of the session is also possible — message the reservations team for bank details if you need to settle that way. Telegram-based booking accepts the same payment options at the spa on arrival. If you are visiting from Russia for a short stay and prefer to settle in cash on arrival, simply confirm the booking via Telegram and pay at reception when you arrive — no card pre-authorisation is required to hold a slot.

Is the spa open during major Russian holidays?

Yes. Elysium Spa operates daily, including during the Russian New Year period from December 31 through January 8, Orthodox Christmas on January 7, and Russian holidays such as Maslenitsa and May celebrations. The week between Christmas and New Year is one of the busiest periods for us, particularly for Couples and Signature Ritual bookings — we recommend reserving seven to ten days ahead for those dates. UAE public holidays such as Eid Al-Fitr, Eid Al-Adha, UAE National Day, and Islamic New Year may have adjusted hours; the current week's schedule is always available by Telegram or phone if you need to confirm before booking. For Russian families visiting during school holidays, midweek afternoons are usually the easiest to confirm at short notice, while evenings and weekends in those weeks tend to require three to five days of lead time.
